Growing leaves and switching (type)face

February 8th, 2007 by noelperlas

I’ve dropped the Clarendon font as the official typeface of Perlas Design Studio. I wasn’t so attached to the typeface and saw it more like a generic Helvetica. The idea of using that font came from Jeffrey Zeldman, and with their redesign of Happy Cog I saw that their use of the font carried more brand weight than mine. So I adopted a lighter, elegant serif typeface: Filosofia. This typeface works well on print as well. I’m already thinking of making a new set of name cards.

And if you see, there are leaves to the right of the site.. although very light. This is where I plan to put the navigation area of the site. This will change in time for sure. But now, I think I like how it complements the typeface I chose.
