My IDII batchmate Maya Lotan has come out with a innovative new service (still in closed beta) about creating ways or chances of meeting people. It is called UrbanSeeder. I think this was based on her thesis, which unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to see. Here is the text from the site:

“Meeting new people and starting conversation seems easy, yet in many situations you just can’t overcome a silly fear of rejection and refrain from making a move. Sometimes it is easier to just leave a clue behind and expose yourself later. Sometimes all you need that little push. UrbanSeeder lets you anonymously lure someone away from a public space to a private web corner for the two of you.”

I’m impressed how many people are working on it. Go! Go! Maya! :)
