Logo Design for a Non-profit Foundation

June 6th, 2007 by noelperlas

We recently finished work on a logo for The Maple Tree Foundation for Mountain Communities. Yes, it is a mouthful. And so was the logo. At first, we thought that we would focus on the Maple tree but the client wanted to emphasize their very novel concept of helping Mountain Communities. And hopefully we were able to achieve this with their logo. Although not very trendy, I thought it turned out well and should withstand the test of time.

So sometimes the client can get it right! Hehe. Good thing you didn’t go with the maple tree, that would have been way too predictable and boring. Nice choice of colors.

By the way, we have a logo design competition going, launched on Independence Day, called “Proudly Pinoy” Logo Design Competition. Click on my name for details… Would be interested to see your take on this one.

Thanks. Yes, the client had a very good eye. About the competition: sure. I will see if I have the time. I think what you’re doing is a good thing. I hope though that there is no hidden agenda.
