I hear that the iPhone has been around the black market here in manila for sometime now. But yesterday I spotted one in a legit store, inside not just any mall but a high-end one. I was surprised to see it in their store window. I quickly went inside and asked how much they were selling it for. The owner said that it was selling at Php 39,500. Woah. I was so shocked that I didn’t even bother to ask which model it was (4gb or 8gb). Even at 8gb, they are selling it Php11,500 (about $250) over its original price!

Of course I had to ask the question, “does the phone work here already?” Bluntly the owner said “No.”
