Looks like Smart was also inspired by the recent brand streamlining efforts undertaken by Globe last year. Change is good.

Migs: true.. Globe also used a global agency with offices in Singapore to redesign their brand. Same goes for Jollibee when they fixed their logo way back when, also for Shakey’s pizza, BDO, and lots more. Local brands look to foreign agencies because I guess they think they have to get a global agency to have a global brand. I think Shakey’s had to go back to their old brand realizing that the new foreign brand was too, well, foreign. Sad..

But isn’t it a bit sad that Smart had to give the design job to a Singaporean company?
