Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

Last week I was helping create some illustrations (most of them created by Nic) for a powerpoint presentation. It reminded me of another project I did which I enjoyed. It was for a gifted child named Joey Orduna who is an award winning cart racer. When I did the illustration for [...]

AirSwitch

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

Thanks to Pet for showing me a link to this one.  AirSwitch comes from the creators of the Lava Lamp.  It lights up anytime your hand comes near the lamp.  No touch needed! Plus you can control the dimmer by moving your hand away or towards the light. Yummy.

Urban Seeder

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

My IDII batchmate Maya Lotan has come out with a innovative new service (still in closed beta) about creating ways or chances of meeting people. It is called UrbanSeeder. I think this was based on her thesis, which unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to see. Here is the text from the site:

Still a lot of work to do

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

Yey. New cards for me. I just couldn’t help printing out a new batch with the new logo. It looked whiter than I expected though.

Reinvigorate (your metrics)

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

A couple of weeks ago, I got an invitation to beta test this newish site metrics web software. I’m not sure if this was the same one, but I tried reinvigorate before. And back then they were still tracking site traffic but by using flash.. or embedding a flash code inside your flash [...]

Growing leaves and switching (type)face

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

I’ve dropped the Clarendon font as the official typeface of Perlas Design Studio. I wasn’t so attached to the typeface and saw it more like a generic Helvetica. The idea of using that font came from Jeffrey Zeldman, and with their redesign of Happy Cog I saw that their use of the font [...]
