Oops I did it

Saturday, March 3rd, 2007

I was hesitant to enter my site in the philippine blog awards 2007. But guess what? I did. I don’t think I will win in the main category of “personal site,” just because of the amount of nominees. But I hope I have a chance in the special awards category “best design”
I [...]

Still a lot of work to do

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

I considered submitting my site to the Philippine Blog Awards but I realize that my template is so incomplete! I’ve got so much more templating fixes to do. When I can find the time to do them still escapes me. But I do get some joy every time something I edit in [...]

Added: Twitter instant post

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

If you read this site through a browser and not through a reader, you will notice that I added a small text thing on the side.  This is a badge from twitter.  This is very cool because I just have to add the Twitter IM Buddy to my list of buddies (using AIM/iChat) and I [...]

The problem with web software

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

Flickr was down for a couple hours a couple of days ago. They had problems with caching. So a lot of people’s photos were showing “phantom photos” or photos of other people on their photo library. It happened to my photos too (see screenshot).. the thumbnails were different from the actual photo. Some [...]

Reinvigorate (your metrics)

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

A couple of weeks ago, I got an invitation to beta test this newish site metrics web software. I’m not sure if this was the same one, but I tried reinvigorate before. And back then they were still tracking site traffic but by using flash.. or embedding a flash code inside your flash [...]

MIT Media Lab’s OpenCode

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

I’m always fascinated by the projects that come out of MIT Media Lab, specifically those of John Maeda’s groups. OpenCode is an initiative of his PLW group. According to the website:
“At it’s core, OpenCode is a Web-based programming tool. It’s simple, elegant, and lightweight. OpenCode is a web-based programming environment that leverages the user [...]

A Little Tidying Up

Saturday, January 6th, 2007

Aside from fixing my tracking software, I also added some small fixes to the pages yesterday while in Tagaytay. Fixed some of the inside pages (posts) and added a background to separate the content from the navigation area.

Damn I missed that?

Friday, January 5th, 2007

For a couple of days now I’ve been wondering if why my Mint installation doesn’t seem to be tracking traffic well. I added a Performancing Metrics tracker, thanks to mr. paraz’s recommendation, to the site and it seemed more accurate than Mint. Unfortunately, Performancing Metrics will no longer be in development.
I didn’t really read [...]

Face Lift

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006

This morning started out early. I’m here at my desk at 8am. So I had some spare time to do some more cosmetic changes to the front page. I am trying out this color scheme for now, seeing how I might like it for the next couple of days. I’m also still trying [...]

Live Editing

Sunday, December 17th, 2006

Now I made some sense of the grid.. the content area will be 600px, while the side bar will be split into 2 columns, 200px and 160px, to complete the 960px page width. What’s nice is that I am doing this “live” and not doing it first on my local disk then uploading. [...]
